Amir and Hassan's favorite story

Amir and Hassan have a favorite story. Does the story have the same meaning for both men? Why does Hassan name his son after one of the characters in the story?

Hassan loved the stories about the persian heros. It is ironic because in the story two warriors were battling ending with one killing the other only to realize that the one he had slain was his son; not unlike the inncident when Amir let Hassan get assualted in the alley. It has the same meaning for the two of them because they acted each as one of the warriors, AMir as the victor and hassan as the losing party. I'm not sure why it was their favorite then, but it was an obvious tactic used to forshadow the upcoming events of the book.
